Wow, time is flying by.
Last weekend we had a great dessert night in Calgary. We had a lot of fun and thoroughly enjoyed reconnecting with some Calgary friends. It was fun to get to share our whole story.
We had so much fun, we did it again on Monday night in Invermere. Again, another great turn. If you didn’t come, you missed out on a lot of marvelous desserts! We had a lot of fun with our Invermere friends and are so thankful to everyone who came out to hear our story.
This afternoon, the girls and I went out with friends of ours in Invermere to collect pop bottles. We had a lot of fun running up and down the side of the road looking for others peoples trash!
French this week was really exciting. Stacy learned what I believe will become his favourite french phrase…Je voudrais….. un cafe ou diner ou souper and really the list could go on.
Another highlight from this week was the email we received from the Grade 5/6 class at Sahel Academy. The girls loved the letters from the class and are in the process of writing their replies. They are looking forward to having friends in Niamey when we arrive.
Stacy was also able to get out for a few mountain bike rides this week. That really fills him up. Definitely something he is going to miss.
It seems in the past week, we have been asked numerous times how details are coming along. Are we starting to panic? My response thankfully has been “No”. I feel such a sense of peace and I am learning to enjoy the pleasure in each day. Saying good-bye is going to be hard, but I cannot focus on that. We feel blessed each day by the answers to prayer that God has sent our way. That is where we chose to focus. He is so good and we are incredibly blessed.
Thanks for reading.
