Spaghetti Anyone?!

Posted by on June 5, 2012

Well, Friday night was our Spaghetti Dinner Buffet, along with a dessert auction and a silent auction. We had a great time! We over sold tickets and sadly, we had to turn people away at the door.

Our Life Group did an amazing job of preparing food, organizing the silent auction and running the night. What an incredible group of people. We are so blessed by them.

One of the highlights of the night was having Lisa Rohrick join us. She worked hard in the kitchen all day preparing salads. Then she came and served everyone, alongside Stacy and I,  who came through the buffet line. It was a fantastic night!

The evening started off with the dessert auction. I had no idea desserts would be such a hit. After dinner, one half eaten dessert was even auctioned off again.

The Hagan family blessed us with their musical talents. What a great selection of songs. They really blessed us.

After dinner the silent auction was wrapped up. While the numbers were being tallied, the Falk Family was presented with a lovely gift. T-shirts with our picture on it. Underneath the caption reads, I believe in Fulfulde, ” Miden ngoni koreji Falk”. We are the Falk Family.

At the end of the night the totals came in and God provided over $6000. WOW! That is amazing.

Our funds are coming in quickly. We are believing for the rest of our funds to be pledged by June 15. We are excited to get our tickets booked. We are still believing for more financial partners, either through one time donations, or by pledging $30, $50, $75, $1oo or more a month. I am excited to see how God will do this.

Stacy and I are gearing up for orientation. We leave on June 24….only 19 days away. Preschool has officially wrapped up. Now, I am covering shifts her and there for the month of June and working hard and taking care of all the little details for our move. Stacy continues to work hard and plans to finish up by June 22. The girls will finish school while we are away at orientation.

Thank you so much for all your support. We are excited about what will take place in the weeks ahead.
