A Picture a Day….African Christmas Countdown
So, I had this idea that I would try and capture people, places and things in Africa as part of our Christmas countdown. Here are this weeks pictures…..
December 1 – cold season is here…. down jackets on motorbikes.
December 2 – this is the stove used by the locals. They swing it around to get the coals hot then put their little tea pot on the hot coals.
December 3 – Hard to tell, but that is a black plastic bag wrapped around the hose to fix it, who needs duct tape!
December 4 – Take out African style….wrapped in foil and black plastic bags.
December 5 – Boaboa tree. Huge trees that have fruit that looks like ornament called Monkey bread.
December 6 – Do I need to say anymore? It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
December 7 – This is the “pumpkin patch” down by the river The pumpkins come in on boats and numerous times throughout the day and then they are sold here. December 8 – Here is your local Starbucks….only they come to you! December 9 – Out for a Sunday afternoon motorbike ride. Anyone else want to join?
Stay tuned for more pictures next week.
